Priorties June 23, 2009

Wow, it’s been a while since my last post, hasn’t it? haha I’ve had a few ideas in mind to write about, but never got around to it 
Being on visuals last Friday sure was a doozy. Managed to set up everything in time, but really wished I could’ve been there the Friday before to see how the visuals stuff was set up.
However, it was during the service when it really became a doozy. After service, I was reminded of last week’s lifegroup discussion. Do I put more priority to study than to God? I’m afraid it was true in the midst of all the exams and assignments. It really reflected during the service as I was slower than usual during praise and worship and even missed some slides. I think it was even more apparent during the sermon, as I was pretty slow and even sometimes lost where Torch was up to.
I must say it was caused by lack of sleep, but tracking it back even further, I can see it was because of misplaced priorities. Trying to study as much as possible leads to no time for quiet time and sleeping really late.
Just listened to a sermon recently that talked about the best question ever. “What is the wise thing to do?”. In light that I will be in God’s house, what is the wise thing for me to do, especially when I’m serving? Praying that this will change how I approach service.
